Refugee Accepts Call to Leadership in the Episcopal Church

”. . . Sudanese in America have turned to the Episcopal Church, with some in the priesthood.” This New York Times piece focuses on the experience of the Rev. Zachariah Jok Char, a refugee who preaches most Sundays in his Grand Rapids, Michigan church, 7,000 miles from the small town of Duk Padiet in Sudan, where he was born. Video includes interview of the Rev. Char and the chance to hear the Dinka language.
