Minnesota Effort Seeks to Ease Rural Poverty Through 'Agripreneurship' Northfield, MN – In recent years, immigrants have flocked to rural communities with the dream of building a good life in agriculture, but have instead lived in poverty despite working long hours at corporate farms. Enter the Rural Enterprise Center, with an “agripreneur” program that aims to turn the tide of rural poverty.
