Once struggling to learn English, student now heads for Harvard med

"Next stop, Harvard University in August. Carlos also was accepted at
Madison, the Medical College and the University of Chicago. He hasn't
decided on a specialty, but he's leaning toward working in primary care
and perhaps coming back to Milwaukee to practice.
"I definitely see myself working with the Latino community, for sure. That's been one of my passions. I knew I wanted to work with the underserved community," he said.
"Because I've
received so much, I know it's time very soon for me to give back. It's
really exciting. We'll see what life has ahead." MORE By Jim
