Best Resources on Cross Cultural Health Care Sought
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/HLSL2XL
Help build an online database of cultural competence resources in health care. From Julia Puebla Fortier of DiversityRx:
The challenge: Tell the world about your favorite resource related to cross cultural health care, and help us launch the revamped DiversityRx.org website later this spring. In just a few minutes, you can nominate tools, reports, guides, articles, and other items for our new searchable Resource database.
The prize: To show our appreciation for your contributions, we will do a random drawing for an Amazon gift certificate. Anyone who submits a complete resource recommendation by May 15, 2010 will automatically be entered. Multiple entries are encouraged (different resources, of course!)
The details:
We’re interested in resources in the following topic areas related to cross
cultural health:
* Culturally Competent Care
* Cultural Competence Training
* Organizational Cultural Competence
* Language Access (interpretation, translation, health literacy)
* Policy
* Research, evaluation and assessment, and data collection
Your resource can be a program description, tool or toolkit, website, DVD, publication, curriculum guide, policy paper, issue brief, white paper, assessment tool, or annotated bibliography. Because of the many excellent resources already available, we won’t be including actual translated written materials, although we are interested in resources that would help manage the process of translation or working with translators.
