BAVC (Bay Area Video Coalition) is thrilled to announce that the City of San Francisco has chosen us to assume operation of the public access television stations in San Francisco.
After budget cuts and a competitive RFP process with many worthy applicants, the SF City government announced this morning that they have selected BAVC to assume operation of the public access television stations in San Francisco. A public protest and comment period runs through 5:00pm on July 10, 2009, so we're not counting it as "official" until the protest period has closed. In the interim, we welcome your input and encourage everyone who cares about public access in San Francisco to join us and voice their opinions, concerns, and wishes, via the City's official process, by following the link to BAVC Web site.
