Building a Partnership: WRFG Volunteers Training Sagal Radio Volunteers
On May 31st, WRFG will host volunteers from Sagal Radio in the first of its two-part Broadcast Class. The purpose of this class is to ‘train the trainers’, that is, to train those volunteers at Sagal Radio who will go on to train other volunteers. Sagal Radio volunteers will learn about the legal aspects of broadcasting, what can and what cannot be broadcast, managing volunteers, and fundraising.
WRFG’s volunteer and operations manuals will be used as models for Sagal Radio as they produce their own materials for the new studio, scheduled to be completed in mid-June 2009.
