I am from Japan and I came as a student. After I graduated, I faced some difficulties to keep my status to live in United States. The immigration system is quite complicated for me. Through my work at SEAMAAC, I witness many immigrants struggle and work hard to improve their lives.
What practice from another culture do you wish Americans would adopt?
Japanese take off our shoes when we get into house. This custom keeps the house clean.
