The goals of these English Language Learning lessons of the Egal Shidad Mental Health Project are to (1) develop adult Somalis’ knowledge related to mental health and mental health care and (2) develop their English language communication skills specific to mental health.

All language acquisition activities in this collection of lessons rely on students viewing and reviewing key segments of the Egal Shidad Mental Health Video, thereby increasing their exposure to the content while building the vocabulary and other language skills needed to discuss mental health issues in English.
