Abriendo las Cajas (Opening Boxes) Introduction Video

A behind the scenes look at the Abriendo Las Cajas (Opening Boxes) program. Both groups, adult and youth, describe the learning and healing experiences that have come out of the program, and make suggestions for improving the program if it is run again. This video was made as a "video evaluation" of testimony from participants, and is useful for nonprofits, teachers, and program managers in illustrating participant experiences with this type of program and its challenges.

Este es un video de “como se hizo” Abriendo Las Cajas. Ambos grupos, jóvenes y adultos, describen sus experiencias de aprendizaje y sanación a través del programa y hacen sugerencias acerca de cómo mejorarlo cuando se vuelva a hacer. Este video se hizo como “video de evaluación” con testimonios de los participantes y es una herramienta útil para las organizaciones, maestros y coordinadores de programas porque muestra las experiencias de los participantes en este tipo de programas y sus retos.

This collection of stories is available on DVD with a curriculum guide. We are pleased to offer these stories and tools, in Spanish and English, free of charge to nonprofit organizations and schools who hope to screen the stories in health, community, and violence prevention settings. We only ask that in return, you report back some simple audience data to us so that we know how our stories were used, and what has been effective. Request a DVD.
