Twa Zanmi partners are planning several events and activities which will unfold in 2008. We are working across 3 key areas: marketing, community-based research and evaluation, and additional capacity building for our team.

The updates are as follows:

Marketing:

• Planning a community-wide kick off event (Sept 08) for social marketing of project topic.
• Posters in development for social marketing of project topic.
• Organizing a radio show with panel discussing MH / project in development.

Evaluation / Community-Based Research:

• Community Poll on knowledge / attitudes on MH - in development - finalizing content, reviewing other examples by others in the field. Translation into French and Creole to follow once finalized. Distribution / data collection to follow.
• Community Focus groups planned for September 08, Nov 08, and January 09. Content will help us guide / shape / scupt the script writing process.

• We're recruiting for a graduate student (20 hrs /week) from UMass Boston to assist with project work. Position has been posted, awaiting inquiries from students.
